What are some things that they have in common?    When we examine both of these passage the booth seem to be looking    at the beginning of things. They both also relate back to the word,    in first John it talking about the world of life, and in John it    is talking about the word. Both of these books want to bring you    in contact with Jesus. What emphases do we find in John 1:1-5 that are not seen in 1 John 1:1-5?    In John he appears to be talking about Jesus directly. And in    1 John he appears to be talking about the Word indirectly through    the written word. It appears that in John we are right there with    John when he is with Jesus and in first John we are listening to    John talk about Jesus. Think about all you know about the life of Jesus. What were the things He did, said, and suffered? Also, ask yourself, Why did He do these things? As you do so, dwell on the fact that this Man was also God, the Creator. What hope and encouragement do these truths offer you? How can they help you cope with the stresses and strains of life?    What is encouraging for me is that we are able to    come in contact with the creator of the universe.    When we pray we are able to receive the help that    we need the time of need. I can encouraged by this.    Prayer: Father thank you for all that you have done for us I pray that you will continue to unfold to us a more complete understanding of you are. Father help us to call upon you in our ever time of need. Thank you in Jesus name I pray amen. |
