Dear It Is Written Friend,
Over the next several months It Is Written has a great line-up of mission trips for every volunteer's tastes and talents: Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, and French Polynesia.
I've visited all three of these countries and the needs are huge! Our team will make a great impact on people's lives. The mission trip to Zimbabwe, in collaboration with Southern Adventist University, will be in the city of Bulawayo. The dates for this trip are May 9 - May 26. We are looking for a handful of preachers. Don't worry, It Is Written will provide sermon manuscripts and slides along with daily orientation to make sure that everyone is ready for their presentations. Our group will also take a day trip to the gorgeous Victoria Falls. Please check this link for more details.
The mission trip to Ethiopia is also going to be really special. I was in Ethiopia in January, and it was love at first sight. The people there are kind and hospitable and yet the circumstances for many are very difficult. Our July mission trip will be four hours south of Addis Ababa in Arsi Negele where a Christian doctor recently built a hospital to meet the needs of thousands who were deprived of proper medical care. For this trip, we need a solid team of medical and dental professionals. Our medical volunteers will be able to fully practice alongside the local hospital physicians (as long as their licenses are turned in on time). We also will need a few preachers. It Is Written's mission trip to French Polynesia has a great background story. A gentleman from there attended SALT, It Is Written's evangelism school. He returned home on fire. He and pastors from his area reached out to It Is Written with a Macedonian call: please come to French Polynesia and help us with evangelism. As a result, I traveled there to conduct a one-week evangelism training seminar. Over 130 people participated. Now more people are on fire, and they are getting things ready for a big evangelism thrust in the fall. We need six preachers to proclaim the good news of Jesus October 26 - November 9. Like in Zimbabwe, we will provide sermon manuscripts, slides, and coaching. This will be an unforgettable experience. Please check this link for more details.
