In the the command that is given in Deuteronomy there is an emphasis on the fact that the children of Israel were once slaves. Even in the commandment in exodus God says that He is the one that delivered them from bondage. We are to serve God and be obedient to Him because He is the only one who was able to deliver us from bondage. Think about the bondage that Christ has promised to free you from. What promises of freedom do you have in Jesus? How can you learn to claim them and then allow the Lord to make them real in your life I believe that God really wants to set us free from all bondage. The Son wants to set us free indeed.I believe it is ourselves which becomes our worst enemies. I think if I did not get in the way of my own self I could experience more freedom. I think it boils down to one word and that one word is trust, we have to trust God I have to trust God. Prayer: Lord God Almighty, we thank you for delivering us from the bondage of sin. I pray that you may help us to be free indeed by accepting your truth each day. Thank you in Jesus name amen. |
