Sunday's Lesson - People and Plots

Identify the two plots in the story of Job. See Job 1:1–12

When we look at the book of Job the first plot is the heavenly plot depicted in the interaction between God and Satan. When we look at the interaction between God and Satan we see the underlining conflict in the book of Job. Another plot in the book of Job is the earthly plot depicted in the interaction between Job and the Devil and the results of this interaction in Jobs life.

Describe in as much detail as you can the prophet Huldah as described in 2 Kings 22:14.

From this passage we understand that Huldah was someone who the priest wanted to talk to. We are not told why he wanted to talk to her but there was some reason. Next we know that she was a prophetess. We also understand that she was married , and her husband was the keeper of the wardrobe. The text also tells us that Huldah lived in the second district of Jerusalem.

What is your plot? What kind of character are you? If your story was written as a Bible narrative, how might it read in contrast to how it ought to read?

I would say that the storyline of my life is to make it to heaven. I would also say that I am a background character. You wont see me in the forefront but you will defiantly see the results of what I have done. The fact I consider myself a background character means there would be little information about me in the biblical narrative. But the little information about me would be very important which would require someone to pay close attention. It could be read that what I did had little impact but read carefully I believe that far reaching results of my faithfulness could be seen.

Prayer: Father I pray that the plot of our lives will be focused on seeing you in peace. Please continue to write and rewrite the story of our lives. Help us to continue to seek you and to put you first in our lives. Thank you for all that you have done. In Jesus name amen.

I would like Jesus to rewrite the story of my life.
