Sabbath School Lesson - Unity in Redemption |
Posted: 22 Jun 2010 04:19 AM PDT Tuesday's Lesson - Unity in Redemption How does Paul describe the people who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus? Eph. 4:1–16. What does this mean in terms of how we should relate to one another? Because of the blood of Jesus we are called to dwell in unity and to support each other in the church. As far as possible we should attempt to keep peace with each other. From this passage we find that God had given gifts to different people in the church for the purpose of building up the church for service. The relations of each other in the church should be positive and supportive ones. Because all of us have been redeemed we can be thankful to Jesus for the opportunity of eternal life. From hearts filled with gratitude for what Jesus has done for us we should lovingly help and support each other. In the same way that grace and mercy has been extended through Jesus Christ we should also extend it to others. How can you better involve yourself in the life of your church community? How much death to self will it take to be more involved? What gifts do you have that can benefit others? I believe that the key to feeling involved in a community is to find out what your niche is. When you find the unique spot where you fit in you will feel important and needed for that community. It believe it is also important to pray about in and ask God to lead you in this matter. Prayer: Father help us to dwell together in unity. Help us to love each other with the same love which you loved us. Thank you for you grace and mercy. In Jesus name Amen. |
