Sabbath School Lesson - Integrity in Our Spiritual Lives |
Integrity in Our Spiritual Lives Posted: 01 Jun 2010 05:35 AM PDT Tuesday's - Lesson Integrity in Our Spiritual Lives This passage begins by Paul saying that "He bows his knees before the Father". To have personal integrity we must live our lives in submission to God. When we live our lives in submission to God , we desire to please him in all that we do. Paul next goes on to talk about the inner man. The inner man is a persons character or their true self. The inner man is the person that you are when no one is looking. Paul desires the Ephesians are internally grounded in love through faith. Personal integrity is a work of the heart.Integrity can not be accomplished from the outside in but only from the inside out. We must learn to cherish the Christian virtues and their fruit will be manifested in integrity to all, and in all. What might it mean to be "filled with the fulness of God"? Be prepared to talk about your answer in class. I understand this to mean being filled with God's Spirit. As we study the word and as we surrender to God more completely He is able to pour more and more of His Spirit into us. He is able to give us His Spirit without measure. To the degree that we surrender we are filled with His fullness. Prayer: Father please strengthen us in the inner man. We don'want to put on a show but we want to be 100% real with you. Fill us with you love on the inside so that we may shine on the outside. Thank you in Jesus name amen. |
