Sabbath School Lesson - The Necessity of Air |
Posted: 17 May 2010 02:02 AM PDT Mondays Lesson - The Necessity of Air What was the unique way God used air in the creation of Adam? Gen. 2:7. How does this account differ from the account of how God created the other creatures? What does this tell us about ourselves, about our uniqueness in the eyes of God? When God made all of the other creatures He spoke them into existence. When God made man He formed man and breathed into his nostrils. God fashioned Adam, and He imparted into Adam divine life. This shows us that man is unique. We are unique because we were made in the image of God. We are masterpieces from the hands of the creator of the universe. Should we ever forget our significance in the world we must remember that we were created in the image of God. Not only were we created in the image of God but we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus. Take a deep breath. Unless you have respiratory problems, it seems so simple, so natural, so easy, and yet it is really a miracle from God, it is a legacy passed on to us from Eden. How thankful are you for the gift of life? Why wait until your life is threatened before you stop taking it for granted? Sometimes we take for granted the gifts which God have given us. But we must develop thankfulness for all of God's gifts even the air that we breath. Prayer: Father thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for the air we breath. Thank you that you loved us so much to create us in your images. Thank you for your breath of life. Help us to honor you in our bodies and our lives. In Jesus name Amen. |
