Sabbath School Lesson - Stars and Scepter |
| Posted: 03 Dec 2009 06:41 AM PST Read the parable Balaam told in Numbers 24:15–17. What was this a prophecy of, and how was it fulfilled? Gen. 49:10; Matt. 2:1, 2.       This prophecy was fulfilled by the first coming of Jesus Christ.    Jesus was indeed the one who was spoken of in these passages. Tho    Ballam was a deluded prophet God was still able to use him to    deliver a precious promise about the coming savior of the world.    However much injustice in the world, we have the promise that God will prevail, and that justice will, as well. How does that promise help you cope with all the injustice you see now?       It can be very frustrating when you see a terrible situation and    you feel powerless to resolve it. When we think of the God who is    now interceding for us and passing judgment we can be assured    that justice will be served.       In this world we will be buffeted and injured by its injustices    but there is a great ruler who will settler all injustices one    day. Let us look forward with faith , and ask God for grace    during the waiting.       Prayer: Father we hate to see injustice on this earth, and it hurts us each time we experience it. Father we pray that you may execute your judgment speedily and that we may not be condemned but justified by the precious blood of your Son. Thank you Father in Jesus name amen. |
