Sabbath School Lesson - Early Conquests |
Posted: 27 Nov 2009 06:45 AM PST Read Numbers 21:10–33 and answer the following questions:    What promises did the Hebrews make to the    pagan king Sihon? What was offered in those promises?       They promised that they would not they would not go through the field or    the vineyard. The also promised that they would not tough their wells    and travel along the kings highway.          Who attacked whom? Vs. 23.       Shion gathered his people to against Israel.    What difference was there between how the Israelites responded to King Sihon and King Og?       The Israelite's wanted to pass through their land and not utilize    any of their resources. They treated the king with respect and    honor. This same king responded to Israel violently as a    result the king delivered this king over into his hands.    Forty years later the children of Israel finally were entering the Promised Land. Look at all the time wasted, all due to their own lack of faith and trust, despite all the evidence that they had of God's leading. How much precious time are you wasting, not moving ahead on faith? How can you better learn to trust in God's promises and then to act on those promises now instead of wasting time?       Amen.    Prayer: Father please help us to trust you and move forward in faith. In Jesus name amen. |
