Posted: 06 Sep 2009 01:23 AM PDT According to 1 John, what has God done for us and what is being done now for us?       1 John 1:9       From this passage we can understand that God is forgiving us of our    sins. God is blotting out the sins of all those how come to Him and    confess. God is in the process of cleansing us and making us    righteous an holy as we continually come to Him and yield ourselves    to Him       1 John 2:1, 2       God has the desire that we do not sin , that we do not create a    breach between God and us, that we not slip into the desires and    the ways of the flesh. But He has made provision if we choose    the devils wiles.       We have an advocate with the Father in Jesus Christ , and he stands    continually pleading His precious blood on our behalf.       1 John 2:27       God has given us His anointing , which is the baptism of the    Holy Spirit. The presence of the Spirit in our lives is what leads    us directs us and teaches us. The Spirit is out helper in all things,    though Jesus is not physically with us as with the disciples the    Spirit is just as good.       The divine teacher and helper will lead us into all things, and    we will have no need to remain in ignorance or misunderstanding because    The Spirit of truth is with us.       1 John 3:8       Amen! this passage has enlightened my heart and caused me to break    forth into praise. Jesus has appeared to destroy the works of the    devil. God has destroyed his works and Jesus bids us to walk    in that victory , wont we heed the call?       1 John 4:8-10       This making a reference to the greatest gift that was ever give to    humanity. The gift that was given to humanity was the Gift of Jesus    Christ. This is the way that God's love was demonstrated in a    tangible way. From this gift that God gave we can understand that    He truly does love us.       1 John 5:11       When we have Jesus Christ we have everything. When we get the son    we get eternal life! This is something else that the Father has    given to us. We can praise and thank God for all that He has done!       1 John 5:14       This is a powerful prayer , from this we can understand that we    have the things that we ask of God because we ask these things    according to his will. We have the power of an infinite God at    our disposal on the condition of asking for the things which    would please Him.    Are there any areas of your life that you have not fully surrendered to the Lord? That is, are you doing things that you know, deep down, are wrong and yet haven't given up? If so, in the end only you can make the choice to give it up. If the Spirit is touching you, why not make the choice now? The longer you wait, the harder it gets.    Prayer: Father thank you for the gifts that you have given us. Thank you Father for the things that you have done. Oh Father please pierce our hearts with a through conviction that you are the loving Lord and that we must surrender all to you. Make yourself visible for the world to be drawn to you. Thank you Father in Jesus name I pray amen. |
