The Paradise Valley Pioneers Pathfinder club held its first meeting of
the year this part Tuesday. Parents completed registration forms
while the Pathfinders worked on designing the covers for their class
work and honor binders. We also practiced some drilling and marching.
Our one new Pathfinder, Braxton Turner, kept up quite well.

This weekend is Pathfinder Leadership Convention at Camp Yavapines.
This annual event is hosted by the Arizona Conferences an officially
kicks off the Pathfinder year. In addition to being a time of
renewal, fellowship and praise, the weekend provides an opportunity
for adult leaders and TLTs (Teen Leaders in Training) to complete
requirements toward their Master Guide certification. Our club has
one TLT, Sandy Lopez, participating. On Sunday Pathfinder club
directors from all of Arizona will meeting with conference staff to
discuss goals for the coming year and review the conference calendar
of events (camporee, fair, etc.)

The PV Pioneers meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 at the
church. Pathfinders is open to boys and girls in the 5th grade or
higher. Registration is still open so please give me a call or just
stop by if you’d like more information.
