Summary: In this story, the devil tempts Jesus by casting doubt rather than outright challenging Him—and if you look back on many of the temptations you've faced, you may see some similarities. Rather than being faced with an outright challenge, we're often confronted with situations that might make it easy for us to rationalize our sinful actions. Thankfully, in this chapter, Jesus shows us the solution when it comes to dealing with temptation.

Verse: Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
