How are love and the commandments related to each other? See 2 John 5, 6. Why is this especially important to us as Seventh-day Adventists? See also Rev. 14:12.
  
   The thing that we must understand about the commandments is that
   their foundation is based in love. The commandment law is the
   law of love. The commandments can in be seen in two loves, love to
   God, and love to man.
  
   As Seventh-day Adventists we understand from the bible
   that God will be looking for a end-time church which keeps the
   commandments of God. We seek to be faithful to God by keeping
   all His commandments including the seventh-day Sabbath.

How does keeping the commandments (Exod. 20:1-17) reveal love for one another?
  
   When we keep the commandments of God we are revealing our love
   to man, and we are revealing our love to God. There is no way
   that we can profess to love God when we mistreat our brothers
   and sisters.
  
   The ten commandments gives us a way to tangibly gauge our
   love to God and our love for one another. The more closely
   our lives resemble the principles of these laws the more
   we love God and one another.

Think about someone you love. How do you treat that person? What things do you say and do that reveal your love? In what ways could you even better show your love to that person? How does your own selfishness sometimes get in the way of showing this love as you know you should?
  
   Love is an action word and it is something which must be done
   and not talked about. We all have fallen into the trap where our
   profession of love is not congruent with our actions of love
   We all have fallen under the tyranny of selfish ambition.
   But let us turn to the cross of Christ and contemplate His infinite
   unselfish love which we completely undeserved.
  
   The love of God Has the power to change us into lovers like God.
  
Prayer: Father thank your for your love which was poured out upon us. Father
envelope us with this love , penetrate deep within our hearts and my your
light shine forth. We love not as we should but oh Lord teach us. Thank you
Father in Jesus name I pray amen.
