On Sabbath, Sept 12th, the baptismal class went over the very important topic of the Sabbath... When is the Sabbath? Is it important to God? Does God care about specific days? What are things God wants us to do on the Sabbath and why did He create a special specific day? It was loads of fun to go through it together... We also discovered that biblically a day starts at sundown. We got our current day cycles, as starting at midnight, from pagan rituals which all had midnight as the high point and the start of everything... But for God, sundown is always the start of a new day, and thus sundown Friday night is the start of the Sabbath!
