How did this manifestation of God's presence reveal to them God's will, at least in terms of their movement?       There was a cloud that would cover the tabernacle by day and a cloud    of fire that would cover it by night. When the cloud moved this    indicted that they should move as well. When the cloud stopped and    lingered in a particular location they lingered as well.       The visible cloud by day and night indicated God's will in terms of    encampment for the children of Israel.    When seeking to make a decision about where to go, how often have you wished you had a cloud by day and a fire by night to guide you? What promises, though, can you find in the Bible of God's willingness to lead us, and to be present among us even today? What choices can you make that will enable you to be more open to God's leading and more aware of His presence?       "Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it    ," Whenever you turn to the right or the left (Isa. 30:21)       Trust in the lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own    understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make    your paths straight.(Prov 3:5,6,7)       In these two promises we have the assurance that God will guide    us. We may not have a cloud but we have Gods word which is a    lamp to our feet and a light to our path. God has also promised    to never leave us not forsake us.    Prayer: Father we desire to live in your presence. Help us to look to you for guidance and direction. I pray that we never stray from your paths. Thank you father in Jesus name amen. |
