| Gaius and His Mininsty to the Church Posted: 21 Sep 2009 02:02 AM PDT Read 3 John 5-8 and paraphrase what John is saying. What important lesson is there for us here?       John here is commending Gaius' work for the community of believers.    He says when he ministers on behalf of strangers that others have    testified about him before the church.       John is saying that what he is doing is good because we should    support the workers in the church. The purpose of his admonition    is that they may be fellow workers in the truth. Read Revelation 14:6. Who is that angel, and how broad and wide is his mission?       We are the messengers that God talks about in this passage, and this    mission is a worldwide mission. We must faithful do the work that God    has called us to do and in time he will expand our territories.       God has given us a divine calling to take His message to the world    and we must be His mouthpiece to all nations.    How involved are you in helping to spread the truths we have been given? What more could you do? How much of your own time, money, and pleasure would you be willing to give up for the sake of helping others hear the good news of Jesus Christ and the promise of His return?       We must be really focused while we are here, because so many things    take away from what God wants us to do. We must realize what the    main thing is. We must ever ask God to help us keep in sight what    the most important things is. Prayer: Father thank you for the love that you fill our hearts with. Open us up that we may be able to take this love to all. Thank you Father in Jesus name I pray amen |
