Also people have    recognized Gaius as a person who teaches and practices the truth.    The fact that he teaches truth brings joy to John.    How do we understand what it means, as Christians, to love each other? How do we show that love?       For the Christian love is the greatest quality that they can    attain to. We understand love as it is manifested in Jesus Christ.    We also understand love as we read about it and put it into practice       Love is an action word, and to show love we must do love. Love is    seen in the way we treat one another and the care and compassion    that we show for each other. We must love the way that    Jesus loved.    Go over 1 Corinthians 13. How well do you manifest the principles that Paul talks about there? In what areas do you do fairly well; in what areas could and should you improve?       This passage talks about the greatest human virtue that we can    attain to. Really to try to say we do well in this area or that    area is to miss the point. The goal is Jesus , no matter how    well we do we must continue to press toward the mark of the    high calling in Jesus Christ!       We must press ! We must love the way he loved! By the grace    of God amen! Prayer: Oh Father, thank your for the beautiful example you have allowed us to see in Gaius. Thank you for the exposition of love in 1 cor 13. Father help us to put this love in action. Father please help us to love like you loved. We pray these blessings for your glory. In Jesus name I pray amen. |
